You will have Conquest, Rush, Team Deathmatch, Squad
Deathmatch and Squad Rush.
Let us look at the maps that you get:
Operation Metro:
This map is set in Paris and is quite a big map that ranges
from parks to city streets to underground subways. One thing to bear in mind on
this map is that there are no vehicles so you will need a good, close nit squad
to succeed here.
Caspian Border:
Large, open playing field and you get all kinds of vehicles
on this map such as tanks, helicopters, APC’s – it is also the largest BF3 map
in the game so far.
Operation Firestorm:
This is a desert map that is set around an oil refinery. You
also have jets, helicopters and tanks on this map as well.
Grand Bazaar:
This is an infantry focused map and gives you a dense urban
setting. There are no planes or helicopters on this map. However there are a
lot of choke points on this map and you should work with your team and lay down
assault fire, while planting claymores.
Damavand Peak:
This is another infantry based map and is set around the
snowy mountains in Iraq.
Tehran Highway:
This is a night-time set map in BF3 set in and around the capital
of Iran. This map is quite narrow and although there are tanks on this map you
might not want to use them in case an Engineer from the other squad finds you!
Kharg Island:
This map is based around the real island off the coast of
Iran – wide, open space map in the center. If you stick to the outskirts of
this map you will have more success.
Seine Crossing:
This is an awesome map that is centred on a series of
bridges that cross the famous French river. You will find this map awesome if
you are Infantry as it is perfect for these sorts of battles.
Noshahr Canals:
This is based on the Iranian Provence in Northern Iran.
Again this is another Infantry map but you also get a nice selection of
vehicles to choose from.
